Schütz Plant in Moerdijk officially opened: Guests showed great interest in full service packaging

Selters / Moerdijk. At a grand ceremony on 26 September 2008, Schütz GmbH & Co. KGaA of Selters, Germany, officially opened its new production site in Moerdijk, the Netherlands. Some 500 guests along with representatives of the international trade press attended the opening of the plant, in which a workforce of approximately 120 employees will manufacture the entire product range of the Schütz Industrial Packaging division, which includes intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) as well as PE and steel drums, and operate one of the most up-to-date units for the reconditioning of transport packaging. Bosch's Packaging Technology Division plans to acquire Paal Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG, based in Remshalden near Stuttgart. The purchase agreement was signed on September 5, 2008. The parties agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. The transaction is subject to the approval of antitrust authorities. Read More
